It's the Life !

Total Random
The ingredients that I used was... either leftovers or things that my mom or brother kept...well hidden...away from people like me...a cube of chicken stock, dried scallops, cumin powders, pork, a pack of enoki mushrooms, and a few teeny slices of dory fish. Instead of a 2 minute noodle, it turns out to be almost an hour noodle.
In case you don't know what is what, I'll show you the pictures.

Enoki Mushroom

Dried Scallops
When I say dory fish, some of my friends would misheard it as...why am I talking bout Dory?

NO!!! Push that away from your brain ! Not that Dory from Nemo!! I meant the food, dory fish as in something that would look like this in fillet !!

I didn't expect that my experiment would go well. The taste turn out better than I thought especially after I added in the cumin powder and left the meat to boil longer so it would absord the chicken stock. Obviously, it's a hearty lunch that day and I was tempted to make another next time but...being mom, she's too sharp when the foods are missing or went lesser...Next time I do this things again, I'll have to pay since dried scallops and dory fish that she bought ain't cheap...

Happy Dinner + Fat Stomach
Last night, boyfriend and I went over to Tropicana City Mall to grab dinner at Sushi Tei. Here's some general info, Sushi Tei has branches around in the SEA market and as far as I know, they have a branch in Singapore and only one branch here in KL (which is the one at Tropicana City Mall). I've already surfed through several blogs / review sites and found that out of 6 review sites I checked, all 6 of them said the foods and the place are pretty much OKAY. Here comes temptation...
Reaching there around 8:20pm, we're lucky to get a seat near to the Kaiten Belt. Mel and Dylan will be reaching late as Mel needs to go back to her place to pack her stuff as she will be staying over my place for the night (correction, in Dylan's room and yes...they are dating already! Look at her blog yourself! Link is there). The moment my butt lands on the chair, I started to grab some sushi from the Kaiten Belt. Boyfriend was busy leafing through the menu and with foods in my mouth, I took a peek at the menu...
Had a shock actually looking at the pricing, cheapest food starts from RM1.60 for the sushi plate and it could go all the way to RM10. But then again, looking at the size of the meat given...I'm in heaven~
Boyfriend assured me to go ahead and order the foodies that I wanted and not to look at the price since it's only once a while. With the green light on, I ordered Chicken Cutlet Cha Soba, Soft Shell Crab Temaki, and a Salmon Belly miso soup. When the foods arrived, I felt as if I'm blessed. Chicken cutlet was amazing, crispy on the outside, amazingly soft and tender in the inside. The meat felt like as if it will melt inside my mouth (like M&M). The Cha Soba itself is given in a generous serving. Both Soft Shell Crab Temaki and the Salmon Belly miso soup makes everything complete.
Dylan and Mel finally arrived when it was time for the last call. They ordered some sushi as well and Dylan got himself a Unagi Don and Mel got Chicken Cutlet Cha Soba (I told her I had the same thing already and she laughed). Unagi Don came and my eyes just popped out looking at the amount of Unagi given and the size of the meat. It's like mission impossible to finish the foods.
By the end of the meal, we called for the bill and it costs us around RM189 something. This food definitely worth the price... I've never complained about a food being too expensive if it's really worthy... I'll be back, Sushi Tei !

Past Events With Me
It's been quite sometime since I've last banged into any pubs or clubs and whines that I wanted to drink ! Giving up, boyfriend just had to call up a few friends and we ended up hanging out at Black Hole in Sri Hartamas. Enjoyable yes, but price wise, not recommended for foods.
The bar
Hands got a lil' itchy and took a picture of the drinks menu. Simple but attractive design.
This picture really did caught my attention and you can only see it if you sit quite at the back.
That's the finger food... Golden Finger that costs boyfriend RM11.00 and it's just 5 fingers instead of 6...oh well...everyone has 5.
I rotated the picture and I need to show the price badly! Mexican Eggrolls for RM15.80 ! Be sure to ask for how many it's gonna be.
The happy couple,Asther and Tong Heng, finally together ! Thanks to boyfriend and I after some 'showing off' and teasing at Club Mix pub as well as some events when we go out together.
Like promised, gonna take a silly picture of boyfriend and post it here. Got him to do it The-Rock-Style !
Other than that, we went to try out this restaurant called Macau Street near my house last Saturday.
The menu with the address along. Place is actually not bad, pretty comfy environment (there's Wi-Fi too) but unfortunately, badly located so there's not much of business.
The Outside
The Inside with all the yellow lightings. There's sofa seats too.
As for the foods... I got myself Nissin Noodle with Fried Egg and Ham. Boyfriend claims its Cintan maggi and needless to say, I think the cook threw in two packets of the powder...
Boyfriend got himself a Marmite Pork Rice. Not bad but, the marmite's slightly watery. Do not, I repeat, Do not drink the soup. The flavoring is very strong !
Yet, it's a good place to chill out and hang out for a drink with friends. For those Kepong people, if you know where is Big Echo Karaoke Box, Macau Street is just directly opposite. For those who don't, here's the address and the email address as well with contact number.

Hi-Tea at Legend Hotel
Since Monday was Wesak Day, our department has planned for a gathering OUT of the office. So, Mark and Howard decided to use the voucher that they have gotten from the lucky draw from last year's annual dinner. We ended up at this restaurant in Legend named Di Atas Brassiere. Well... I think you know darn well what I'm thinking off. Doesn't matter. Foods there, is just all right.
Kelvin is basically staring at my piece of roast beef as I've gotten a HUGE chunk of it instead of slices like the rest of them. Don't ask me why.
This is more like something for breakfast, don't you think so? Most of them claimed that the orange juice are quite...fake...Well, I've no comment.
Look at this! Cuevas got himself a piece of heart shaped cake but it's actually cracked in the middle and he was about to put it in his mouth before I stopped him to get a picture of this, thus, the crack at the bottom. The other half is given to Raymond and we made a joke that both of them are gays or something like that. Needless to say, this is the only thing that attracts me for it's design and also the sweetness of it.
This is something that's quite out of the topic. The Japanese came again for some meetings and they've gotten us these stuff.
The back of the box for the snacks...
Once the paper is unwrapped, it shows this cute little face poking out. I couldn't eat it at first but the coffee-like aroma is tempting me too much! Itadakimasu!!

Souvenirs from Japan, again
Well, I wasn't supposed to go office today according to my mom because honestly, I think I'm on the verge of getting fever and I've already felt slightly feverish and also sore throat by now (not forgetting my body hurts badly this instant) but I insisted on it because, first off, I had some stuff I hadn't finished, and secondly, I can't play Nostale at home and last but not least, I wanted to be around my colleagues... It's kinda boring to stay at home, if you know what I mean... But hey, it's a nice thing to see the Japanese came into our office again today and as I've guessed, there is some snacks from them again !
Check it out here ! God knows what it is as I hadn't unwrapped it to taste it but it sure looks nice to me.
There is a few different shapes of it and I've only got 3 of them to take pictures of...
Here's the other two and below is a family picture of it !
I personally liked the one on the left because it looked like the Monkey King from Journey to the West. The one on the right hand side looks exactly like a shrine and yeah, I think it is... I've no idea what the middle one looks like as it's all like... round...
